    DIRECTOR - How To Break Up While Drunk

    Mia Y. Anderson (she/her) is an actress, director and writer. A native of New York, she was born and raised in the Republic of Brooklyn. She has been featured in l films like award-wining films Queen of Glory, A Chance, Production and worked with theater companies like The Civilians, The National Black Theater and Poetic Productions. As a director she has worked with The Rising Sun Company, The Road Company of LA, Culture Project and she was a 2014 directing fellow with New Perspectives Theater and an alum of the 2015 Lincoln Center’s Director’s Lab. As a writer, she has published essays in the Lambda Literary award nominee Pinned Down by Pronouns and Getting Bi. She was a 2016 BarnArts Hamilton Project writing resident. In 2017, her first solo work “her, him, prince, michael, and marvin aka love is love is love” was featured at the 2017 Failsafe Festival , a workshop production in 2018 produced by the Dirty Blondes Theater and was a 2019 QuickSilver Theater POC Summit Finalist work.Check her out www.miayandersonchannel.com.

    DIRECTOR - Flooded

    Maile Binion is an actor, director, and producer originally from New Orleans, LA. She is Managing Director of New Ambassadors Theatre Company, and thrilled to be making her New York directorial debut with her favorite group of artists and collaborators! She was most recently seen performing in Out of Body on a Train (NY Winterfest) and Hot Blood Sunday (October FEARfest).

    ACTOR - This Burning Fire

    Julia Botero has appeared at NYMF’s Bisland & Bly at Playwright’s Horizon, Inside at the Cherry Lane Theatre, Legends of Texas at the Billie Holiday Theater and has done almost 100 staged readings throughout New York City. She is a founding member of New Ambassador’s Theatre Company and Co -Produced it’s first full length play Experimenting With Katz with Artistic Director David Adam Gill. For New Ambassador’s Julia has previously appeared as Mona in Guns & Ammunition, Mortal in Cold Dead Heart, and Rachel in Shakespeare Recalibrated. In film she has appeared in KIDDO and What Things May Come.

    DIRECTOR - This Burning Fire

    Sydney Burtner is a NYC-based writer / director and award-winning producer. As a company member of New Ambassadors Theatre, she’s directed plays by Max Gill, Amanda Hanna and Aly Kantor. In addition, she executed a writing assignment with Producer James Hornbeak, adapting the young adult novel THE GREAT AND TERRIBLE QUEST. She develops projects separately via the theatre incubator The Playground Experiment. As a journalist, she garnered Virginia Press Association awards for both writing and photography and rose to Managing Editor. In addition, she served as a VP in Finance. She earned a Master’s degree in producing /screenwriting at NYU.

    Mark Corallo is writer, actor, and speech language pathologist, who is thrilled to have audiences experience his original play " Closets" as part the Heartbroke festival through New Ambassadors Theater. Mark's writing credits include: Mike & Mindy's Krazy Karaoke Party, and co -writing credits include: Mike & Mindy's Wild Weekend Jam and original productions developed by individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder through his 501 (c) 3 organization Creative Communicators.     Jennifer Downes is a writer, actor, and producer based in NYC. She is the Associate Artistic Director of New Ambassadors Theatre Co. Jennifer is a graduate of the William Esper Studio, and studied screenwriting under Jerome Perzigian and Stephen Molton at JKS Studio. Her full length play Tight Five, co-written with John Peña Griswold was presented at The Cherry Lane Theatre in 2022.     Juliana is a performer based in New York City. Some of her favorite New York stage credits include Of Government (Clubbed Thumb Summerworks); What Ships Are Built For (The Haven Project); You’re A Weirdo, Annie Best (Fresh Fruit Festival 2022) and Spills (Who What Where Productions). She last performed with New Ambassadors in Redheads Only Orgy in the 2022 Blurring Boundaries Festival. She is represented by Brilliant Talent Management, and is a proud member of Actor's Equity Association.

    Aly Kantor is a playwright, performer, and teaching artist from Long Island, New York. Her award-winning, internationally-produced work is pleasantly quirky, femme-focused, often queer, and full of speculation and subversion. She is a Creative Associate with EastLine Theatre, where her new adaptation of The Great Gatsby, These Gilded Souls, premiered in Westbury, NY in December 2022.     Isabel Monk Cade is a writer/actor/producer from NYC. Her work has been read & produced at The Barrow Group, The Tank Theatre, Primary Stages, The Hudson Guild Theater, Naked Angels T@9, among others. Selected original work: 'Interim' (Screencraft Film Fund Semi-Finalist), 'While He Talks' (premiered @WMM Int’l Film Festival).     Chase Naylor is a New York based actor and has been with New Ambassadors for 4 years. This is his second time originating a role for fantastic writer Jennifer Downes and he is excited for you all to see it! Chase was trained as a part of Texas State's BFA Acting program and was most recently seen originating the role of Shawn in Tight Five by Jennifer Downes & John Peña Griswold at the Cherry Lane Theater.     Nawaf Nooruddin is a Bahraini actor with a BFA in Drama from NYU Tisch School of the Arts. He combines his Strasberg training with his spiritual foundation to deliver mindful performances that speak to the emotional and behavioral nuances of human beings. He is currently involved in several original projects and is very enthusiastic about sharing his unique perspective of the world, to the world. Magic is everywhere if you open your eyes.

    Jonathan Peck, a New York-based actor and a graduate from the William Esper Studio class of 2017. After graduating he has gone on to produce a number of plays, first producing and starring in his first New York off-off broadway production Tape by Stephen Belber. Split Second was his second full production and has gone on since to produce multiple shows off off-broadway before the pandemic. Before attending Willam Esper, he attended SUNY University at Albany; attaining his BFA in Philosophy and Theatre. Previous theatre credits are Orpheus in Eurydice, Pool Boy in Legally Blonde the Musical, Otto in the musical Spring Awakening, Tolbert Lee in an original play, An American Tree and Val Johnson in Split Second. He is currently in the midst of creating his own production company. Also apart of multiple organizations providing mutual aid to underfunded communities within NYC via food, clothes, toys, and school supply drives.

    Cat Plazas is a Colombian-American actor and voice-over artist who is so excited to be back at the HEARTbroke festival! Some of her favorite credits include originating roles in A Good Day for Daverny at Dixon Place and SHE: A Choreoplay at NY Live Arts. Cat is a big believer that the best art is that which inspires social change – so when she’s not acting, you’ll find her working to develop arts education programs for young people. Her performance is dedicated to Ashleigh Maria Plazas.

    Perryn is thrilled to be directing his fourth production for New Ambassadors Theater company. His previous shows were Ranch Country, Skim and Prometheus Found, which Stage Buddy declared to be "skillfully pulled off" and "hysterical." Past credits include GOOD MOURNING (co-producer/writer), DYL (actor), and multiple seasons with the New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players (actor). She is overjoyed to work with New Ambassadors again, having appeared in Defying Lorelei (Blurring Boundaries festival).

    Caitland is a playwright from Memphis, TN with a degree from the University of Virginia. This is her third time participating in a New Ambassadors festival (previous works are Tub Therapy and Fear Floor), and she’s so excited to work with this wonderful group again.
